how it all began.
The Tozer Turkey Trot began while the Fosses were sitting around the dinner table one night at the family's home on Tozer Lake. The family decided they wanted to come up with a way of giving back and helping the community that has played such a huge part in their lives. After a little discussion it was decided to host a run on Thanksgiving morning.
Participants of the trot have helped shape the Thanksgiving morning event. Participants of the first run/walk, held in 2012, suggested having a place for food donations. So not only are participant registration fees and donations given to the Washburn County Food Pantry, each year a large donation of food and other goods has also been made to the pantry.
